André and Thomas were incredibly sweet kitties. Thomas and his sister were born in a dumpster and some humans rescued them when they were only about a day old, but couldn't catch their mother. Miss Nora had a cat who had just had kittens, including André, so she took in Thomas and his sister and her cat let them nurse. We adopted André and Thomas when they were about four months old. Unfortunately, Thomas caught feline leukemia from his mother and gave it to the other kitties, and he and André died from it when they were just over a year old in February 2000.
